News Headlines

I am delighted to announce that Mr Roy English has been appointed as Deputy Head of Abingdon House School from September 2008.

Since September 2003 he has been a senior teacher at Fairley House School, a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Head of Mathematics.

He has taught for 25 years over 4 key stages with a range of specific and other learning difficulties

He is very keen on ICT, PHSE and PE/Games. He also teaches literacy, maths and history.

He has an MA in Education and an advanced diploma in Special Educational Needs

Mr English is really excited and looking forward to working at Abingdon House School and was very impressed with what he observed on the three visits he has made to the school.

Abingdon House School had its third successful inspection, this time by ISI (The Independent Schools Inspectorate) in May 2006 and is now a member of ISA (The Independent Schools Association).

following our March inspection, we have been approved for registration as a Category SP School (Specialist Provision) by
Council for the Registration of Schools Teaching Dyslexic Pupils (CReSTeD).
