Children's Mental Health Week 2021

Children's Mental Health Week 1-7th February

The theme of this year's Children’s Mental Health Week is Express Yourself.

Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.

Let’s see how some of the staff at AHSC express themselves...

Ms Carella - I express myself through music and dancing.

Mr Lloyd - I express myself through journaling and water colour painting.

Ms Grosvenor - I express myself through cooking and baking.

Mr Gilbert-Farrell - I express myself by making up songs about everyday things and signing them out loud.

Ms Chrystal - I express myself by being creative and sewing.

Place2Be have a series of free virtual sessions led by experts and familiar faces across acting, art, content creation, dance and writing. Check out the “I Express Myself Through…” series on the link below: https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/news/i-express-myself-through-virtual-sessions-on-creative-expression/ We would love to see photos of what you have been doing to express yourself at home! If you would like to share a photo for the Wellbeing newsletter please send it directly to Nadia Carella.
