In Photography Enrichment the students have been learning about shutter speed through experimenting with light trail photography.
We decamped from our usual pop up studio to the library in search of the darkest space available.
In spite of the obviously understandable temptation to reenact legendary lightsaber battles (what else is there to do with light up, flashing batons after all?), Freddie, Matthew, Astrid and Teodor all behaved sensibly with the equipment and took turns creating light trails, writing their names with the batons and experimenting with silhouettes.
