Georgia O'Keefe Art Competition

Our Art teacher Monika Graefling has started setting a weekly art competition for students and staff. Our first artist was Georgia O’Keeffe. We have beautiful weather at the moment and we can see a lot of flowers outside. Georgia is known for her flower paintings. Below, you can read interesting facts about her and see examples of her paintings. Art Challenge week 1 - draw / paint / sculpt a flower. You can use any materials you want.

Georgia O’Keeffe Georgia O’Keeffe was an American artist who was a leading figure in the artistic and cultural movement American Modernism, which started at the turn of the twentieth century.  "When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment," Georgia O'Keeffe once said.
