Georgia O'Keefe Art Competition

Our Art teacher Monika Graefling has started setting a weekly art competition for students and staff. Our first artist was Georgia O’Keeffe. We have beautiful weather at the moment and we can see a lot of flowers outside. Georgia is known for her flower paintings. Below, you can read interesting facts about her and see examples of her paintings. Art Challenge week 1 - draw / paint / sculpt a flower. You can use any materials you want.

Georgia O’Keeffe Georgia O’Keeffe was an American artist who was a leading figure in the artistic and cultural movement American Modernism, which started at the turn of the twentieth century.  "When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment," Georgia O'Keeffe once said. "I want to give that world to someone else." Interesting facts about Georgia:
