AHS Sports Day
Updated: Dec 10, 2018

Another year is drawing to a close at Abingdon House School, which meant it was time for everyone to whip out their best (and most colourful) sporting attire, slap on a thick helping of sun cream, finish breakfast with a lengthy warm up ready for Sports Day.
I would like to say an enormous thank you to all the parents who braved the crippling temperatures to support their children last Thursday. In fact, you turned out in droves to cheer on their athletic prowess in track and field.
Luckily no child received any injuries (unfortunately the same cannot be said about some of those highly competitive fathers!) and fun was had by all.
Everyone was a winner on the day and I am so proud of all the students who embraced the competitive nature of the event. Everyone contributed to their house scores, some individuals performed extremely well across all events and were awarded with the Top Athlete Award and finally those who demonstrated the greatest sporting attitude received the Respect and Sportsmanship Award.
The day was a resounding success and I am extremely excited for next year!
