Facilities and Equipment

Abingdon House School is fully resourced to meet the needs of its pupils.

The classrooms are large, bright and well furnished. The School Hall is used for assemblies, celebrations and games.

The School also has a dining room, a music room, an Art and Design room, a Science/Food Technology room, Sensory room, Wellbeing room and a Library. Each student has their own laptop for use in class, or iPads if they are more appropriate for the child’s needs, or depending on the activity – for example, using a Speech & Language Therapy app.

There are specialist rooms for occupational and physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, as well as for other additional support.

The attractive environment, excellent facilities and resources, specialist teaching, dedicated learning support and on-site multi-disciplinary team of professionals offer integrated, specialist provision at its best. In addition, the students play in Regents Park and other local parks and recreational facilities on a regular basis.

“The children (are) completely involved in their own learning and given ample opportunity to give their opinion and to record their work in a variety of ways. Above all… a sense of enjoyment and fun.” CReSTeD inspection - 2014
