Abingdon House gave my child a new chance at education after a negative experience in a previous school. Staff are trained in specific therapeutic approaches that meet the social, mental and learning needs of individual pupils very well. Parents are provided with support and guidance by both therapists and teaching staff on a frequent basis to ensure that consistent routines and therapy are embedded both at school and at home.

My daughter receives the most supportive, understanding, kind, and utterly bespoke care from the pastoral team at AHS. On the more challenging days, the team have encouraged my daughter into school. They engage with her in the most beautiful way and communicate with me to assure me she’s doing well. Never underestimate the skills and magic they have in transforming a day.

I’ve come so far now, the teachers are really helpful, I’ve been doing really well with my work, I’ve made lots of friends and I really enjoy coming to school.

Abingdon is a school where staff are making a conscious effort to understand students' differences and give them the feeling that they're appreciated and respected for who they are. Students are given time to develop their skills at their own pace. This was crucial for us and it really helped our daughter thrive.

This school has changed my life. I had to leave my last school because no-one understood me. I came to Abingdon and looking back, it’s the best school that I’ve ever been to and I’ve changed so much over these past three years.
