We provide an integrated, whole-school approach to meeting the needs of pupils with unique learning profiles. Our environment is based on understanding a child’s individual needs, nurturing their academic and social development and caring for their wellbeing.
Our highly committed and professional team of classroom practitioners (teaching assistants, teachers and therapists) work as a multidisciplinary team in order to ensure that support for our students’ needs is delivered to the highest possible standard throughout the school.
The teaching style is multi-sensory and therapy is integrated into the classroom and across the school day; so that all students have the opportunity to learn and all staff are working towards each individual student’s own academic and personal development targets.
Our classes (classes are based on a size of 10 students) are grouped based on academic and social ability and need; this provides every child with the opportunity to progress and achieve success relative to their individual starting points.
The school day runs between 8.20am and 3.10pm during which students study a broad curriculum and partake in a range of student-led enrichment activities throughout their day.
Families are encouraged to be involved with our young people’s education through our Home/School Alliance and our regular workshops.
